
Christmas Cookies
MAKE batter out of:
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
4 eggs
3 cups flour
1 teaspoon cloves
1 teaspoon allspice
1 teaspoon cinnamon
3 teaspoons baking soda dissolved in 3 tablespoons milk
1/2 cup bourbon
CHOP:
2 pounds shelled pecans
1 pound candied cherries
1 pound candied pineapple
1 pound golden (white) raisins
ADD chopped fruits and nuts to batter. DROP from teaspoon onto cookie sheet.
BAKE at 250°F for 30 minutes; or a little longer, until firm and lightly browned.
Caj's Mother says, Will keep in a container at least 6 months. And Caj says, M'm, m 'm good. Wish I had a couple dozen.
