Tonight I was talking with a friend who said, "Man, I feel old."
And, I said, "How old are you?"
He said, "About 63."
I knew this to be inaccurate, as I know he is younger than me, and I am not even to my fifties yet.
And, I said, "You are telling your mind something that it will believe."
He was puzzled.
I went on to explain:
"Your mind does not sit there and say, 'Now, let me analyze this. He can't be telling the truth.' (At least, not at first, it doesn't. Later, in some future e-zine we will show you how it can.)"
So, your mind takes what you say at face value, and then tries to make it the truth.
Now, what if you took that information, spun it around, and told your mind, "I am the greatest. I feel fantastic."
Or, in the words of that yellow baggy pants wearing DJ:
"You can't touch this!"
How much better would your mind react to making you feel that way!
